Call for Nominations to the Australian Prospectors and Miners Hall of Fame

The Australian Prospectors & Miners Hall of Fame (APMHOF) was founded in 1995 as a memorial to the men and women who have made a significant contribution to the mining industry, its communities and environment in Australia.

Since its inception, the APMHOF has inducted over 130 individuals who have made such a contribution through outstanding leadership, acts of courage, sustained effort or sheer grit and detrmination, and thus have enabled the mining industry to play a major role in the development of Australia.

The APMHOF now exists as a virtual or web-based resource at www.mininghalloffame.com.au where it recognises and provides information on the heritage of prospectors and miners from all parts of Australia. Some aspects of the APMHOF, such as plaques honouring the inductees, continue to be housed in a tourist facility in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia.

Each year, the APMHOF seeks nominations from the general public for new inductees to the Hall of Fame. These nominations are reviewed by a Selection Committee which selects a limited number of nominees for induction each year. Nominations are now open and may be submitted using this form.
